   Who We Are Minimize

Founded in 1979, WRPS is a not-for-profit community partnership supported by Waverley and Randwick Councils. Consisting of a chamber choir and a chamber orchestra, WRPS specialises in early classical music such as Haydn and Beethoven. In 2009 WRPS has been expanding its musical horizons to include repertoire from the Romantic period and beyond, offering a diverse musical experience for local players and audiences alike.

Since 2004 the orchestra has been known as the Eastern Sydney Chamber Orchestra (ESCO). Also since 2005, the choir has been known as the Eastern Sydney Chamber Choir (ESCC). We are always looking for new members, especially singers as we are a diverse group that also performs music outside of this genre such as church, Baroque and classical.

We perform 4 times a year in the Randwick and Waverley Randwick areas, and occasionally in country NSW.

Our Aims

  • to create quality orchestral music in the Eastern Suburbs
  • to draw more and more musicians and singers into the Society
  • to create opportunities for local talented musicians and singers to spread their wings
